three day weekend
Today we had a break because it is teacher work day. Many teachers joked saying “no fair you get to have a break and we don't.” Also my friends teased the teachers for fun saying “you get homework and we don't.” I could not go any were today because everybody was busy. I was bored all the time. I did not have much fun. Today is not out either, I guess the sun got bored shining all the time and is not happy too. I was trapped in a little house with no fresh air. I never got much exercise much too with El Nino in the hold. I sure was a bad day.

Hender, you need to be able to turn every bad day into a great day. You know how? It is all in your mind. You can not control your outside world, but surely you can control your own mind to overcome the outside world, either physically or emotionally. Did you read the story of St. Paul in the Bible? He could still sing and praise when he was in the jail, did he say that was a bad day? So when you feel it is a bad day, don't complain, don't ask the outside world to change, but change your own inside mind.

ReplyDeleteI agree with your parents. It is all in your mind. Here's a funny story my dad told me. When he was young, he refused to join the Army because of his religion and so they sent him to jail for awhile. When he said he enjoyed being in jail very much, I thought he was crazy!!! Then he told me he thought happy thoughts only. He spent his time reading a lot of newspapers and books. He even told me that he loved the food in jail, especially the scrambled eggs! Can you believe that?!!! Mind over matter!
